Jim is the President and founder of Stonebridge Ventures, Inc. He has more than 30 years of consulting and business experience and has placed particular emphasis on the higher education industry in the past 15 years. Jim has led several comprehensive strategic sourcing, non-salary cost reduction and strategic procurement planning engagements for university, healthcare and Fortune 500 clients. Throughout his career Jim has been a frequent pioneer of developing new service offerings and tackling his client’s most pressing issues. Jim is a frequent speaker at higher education industry events.
Jim’s passion to deliver substantial value in partnership with his clients and with 100% focus on higher education was a motivating force behind his drive to start Stonebridge Ventures. He believes that strong collaborative client relationships produce substantial and sustainable results. Jim spent 10 years at Huron Consulting Group where he was one of the initial Managing Directors. Jim was instrumental in helping Huron grow its strategic sourcing practice and later the procurement solutions practice for higher education.
John is a Director with Stonebridge Ventures, Inc., joining the firm in June 2018 after retiring from Creighton University as Vice President for Administration. John’s 14 years of higher education experience includes responsibility for operational functions such as purchasing, facilities management, public safety, transportation, mail services, card services, and bookstore management. In his leadership role, John has actively participated in institutional strategic planning, capital planning, operational planning, and campus master planning. John has led initiatives associated with major campus construction and renovation projects, and directed the development of processes associated with space management and facility assessment tracking and reporting. John’s experience with daily operations of a university campus underscores the importance of institutions evaluating, selecting, and managing strategic sourcing partners.
Prior to joining Creighton University, John was Senior Vice President at Central States Insurance Co. of Omaha – a Berkshire Hathaway Company. John’s 17 years in the insurance industry focused on leading operational areas such as treasury and finance, information technology, policyholder services, claims processing, and policy enrollment and fulfillment.
Michael is an Associate with Stonebridge Ventures, Inc. He has been with Stonebridge for four years assisting on many higher education procurement projects. Michael is a graduate of Creighton University, where he majored in Finance.
Michael has a passion for and appreciation of higher education clients where he provides thoughtful data analysis and project support. He has been significantly involved in a variety of projects including strategic procurement planning, procure to pay assessments, organizational review and design, spend analytics, construction and facilities spend assessments, and a variety of training workshops. As a certified Partner of Jaggaer, he has assisted on multiple Jaggaer system implementations for University clients. He is a hardworking individual with an optimistic mind who believes in developing good business relationships and working collaboratively with people to reach their full potential.
